Heat the pan <em>(approx. 7 inch in diameter, preferably cast iron),<\/em> melt 2 tbsp cane sugar with 1 tbsp butter and a pinch of salt in it. Add the plums and simmer briefly. Then remove the pan from the heat and arrange the plums in a circle.<\/p><p>Mix the flour, egg, cream of tartar, spice, melted butter and milk in a bowl to form a creamy, thick batter. Carefully pour over the plums and spread out. Note: The plums should remain in a circle <em>&#8211; do not stir them in!<\/em><\/p><p>Place the pan back on the stove, put the lid on and simmer over a medium heat for 8-10 minutes. Then turn over <em>(use a large plate to tip over and slide back into the pan the other way round)<\/em> and cook for another 8-10 minutes on the other side until the cake is cooked through. Leave to cool for a little while.<\/p><p>If you like, put some whipped cream or vanilla ice cream on top &#8211; I prefer it plain.<\/p><p><em><strong>The only thing missing is the coffee.<\/strong> <\/em>Try our Peruvian coffee with it, its chocolate flavors go really well with it.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3481d101 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"3481d101\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">And just like that fall becomes very beautiful<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4372e9a3 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"4372e9a3\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Plum cake is always delicious.<\/b> But this one, the <i>plum cake from the pan (!),<\/i> really can&#8217;t be beaten.
