    The latest trend is,<\/em> to use one coffee roast for all preparation methods, i.e., from hand filters to portafilters, French press included. I find it dubious.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Omniroast. One roasting for all types of coffee. <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    The idea behind Omniroast is,<\/strong> <\/em>to roast the coffee beans in such a way that they can be used to make an espresso. But also a filter coffee This would mean that you have a medium degree of roast which, when ground medium-fine, has no espresso flavor in the machine or in the pour-over. And conversely, very finely ground espresso in a portafilter (just to stick with these two coffee preparations)<\/em> does not taste thin and bland. Not to mention the crema. Well…<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Everything \u2013 also coffee \u2013 is a matter of taste.<\/strong><\/em> And of course, nobody is as crazy about coffee as we are. But at Mount Hagen, we believe that every bean has its own character. And it deserves to be brought out – with its more than 800 aromas. How can you possibly do that with a standard roast?<\/p>

    For us, this is a question of appreciation for the love<\/strong><\/em> that goes into growing, harvesting by hand, hand-picking and sun-drying. For all the incredible work that goes into the organic and Demeter cultivation of our coffees. That’s why we don’t just have different roasts for the different ways of making coffee. We tailored the beans and their composition precisely to this.<\/p>

    For example,<\/strong><\/em> our Arabica is a blend, medium roasted, which combines the fruity depth of fine highland beans from Papua New Guinea with the spicy strength and almost glamorous richness of Peruvian and Honduran Arabicas. The result is a soft, spicy, round, perfect filter coffee. Prepared in a portafilter, it would simply lose its balanced character. And that’s okay. After all, a really good swimmer is extremely rarely also a really good runner – to use a completely different world.<\/p>

    It’s also honestly fun to tease out different flavors in different ways. To taste them, to enjoy them. Coffee – and its preparation – is a sensual ritual for us. Leisure. Great pleasure. And you simply can’t experience that with “one for all”<\/em>, with an “omniroast”<\/em>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
